The hope is that they click their heels three times and Trump will be impeached or assassinated or sent to Mars by Elon Musk— allowing Carney to bring Greta Thunberg into his cabinet for business as usual. But in their secret hearts they must know time’s up. This new geopolitics has no time for a nation that mailed it in for a decade under Trudeau the Younger (and Stupider). The bill has come due ,and Trump means to collect.

In an age of victim status, traditional religion is suddenly a cuddly TikTok puppy. Hard to imagine that the force that spread imperialism and war across the globe for centuries being a victim. But yes. Burned churches ad descrated synagfogues will do that for you. The zeal to repeal God has backfired. Faith is off the cavas and punching back. (And we are NOT talking about the Woke pope.)

The most amazing feature of the Mark Carney/Danielle Smith MOU is that both politicians probably want the deal to fail. Carney can tell fossil-fuel enemy Quebec that he tried to reason with Smith, and Smith can say she tried to meet the federalists halfway. Failure suits their larger purposes.

Getting a universal system that helps the needy, balances care levels while not degrading treatment is illusory. Alberta is willing to admit that fact. Like agreement on pipelines the province’s Bill 11 will face nothing but headwinds from the diehards (pun intended) who still believe Michael Moore’s fairy tales about a free system in Canada. And will do nothing to bind Canada’s warring factions.

For the forseeable future Poilievre scorn will be the order of the day. Just remember that Mark Carney is just a stop-gap, a guy to rag the puck for a few years till the Liberals have groomed Justin’s eldest for the PMO. Where he can complete the Woking of traditional Canada that Grandpapa Pierre started in 1968.

Somewhere along the way the suicidal empathy of progressives— combined with a need for low-income workers for corporations— loosened the expectations for those arriving in the West. But as political scientist Philip Kaufman explains, “If you keep saying you are on stolen land, don’t be surprised when judges give it away to the natives you said you stole it from.” There may be better ways to radicalize normally placid Canadians than them out of homes they’ve bought, but for the moment we can’t think of any.

While America roils in the dynamics of a Woke retreat, Andrew Kaufman points out that Canada remains entirely in the thrall of the feminized morality introduced by Justin Trudeau’s election ten years ago this month. “Liberals: Stop importing U.S. politics into Canada. Also Liberals: Hey look, the U.S is holding a 'No Kings' protest. Let do it too.” To stop Woke rejection Mark Carney wants to make Canada more European.

It was mostly American social media that outed odious Canadian comments online, forcing employers to take action against loons they’ve harboured up till now. No doubt Charlie Kirk’s death will be mobilized by both sides in their appeals for the loyalty of the military should a civil war break out in the U.S. Perhaps it will again be dodged. But wiggle room is fast disappearing. Get your generals in a row. MSNBC’s Jen Psaki has declared Trump’s tribute to Kirk “an escalation" Says legal expert Jonathan Turley, “We are already at political assassinations, so I am not sure how much more room for escalation there may be for Psaki or MSNBC.”

The West’s privileged elites— particularly in Canada— refuse to acknowledge reality, preferring the dewey dawn of the Clinton or Obama presidencies. They toss around terms like tyrant to distract from the cliff they’ve built.  They pose. They primp. As security expert Mike Benz notes, “The vast majority of stock leftists are not true believers, they have strong beliefs, loosely held.” How loosely we are about to find out.

Perhaps the best example of bureaucratic waste is tucked into the line “Applications are encouraged from members of groups that are historically disadvantaged and underrepresented.” (*Translation: DEI) And “as a member of the Senior Management Team (SMT), you are expected to promote an inclusive leadership style that values equity, diversity, inclusion, and ensures psychological and physical safety.” IOW you are urged to promote inclusion while the vast majority of taxpaying white male citizens are excluded from consideration.
